John Glennon, General Manager of Food Conspiracy Co-op

In this discussion, John Glennon will illustrate the previous iterations of Food Conspiracy's Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program and the impact it has had in driving partnerships with local farmers in Southern Arizona. This will set the table for the discussion on how they plan to evolve this program in the future to create new pathways of access for local farmers and the Co-op's community of shoppers. He will finish with some theoretical implications of this model in the context of local food economies.

John Glennon earned his M.A. in Applied Cultural Anthropology from NAU, where he explored the intersection of people, food, policy, and power in the context of food cooperatives. He has been working in the General Manager role at food co-ops in Southern Arizona for 4 years.
