Director of Health Initiatives, Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona

Rhonda Gonzalez is the Director of Health Initiatives at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona (CFB), overseeing the Health & Nutrition, Farm & Garden, and the Community Organizing teams. With over 15 years’ combined experience in health and community development, she has worked at the local, national and international level. She began her career in maternal and child health policy at a national non-profit, and worked in Australia for an indigenous community development organization. She has also served as executive director for a non-profit facilitating bi-national physician and medical researcher exchanges. For the last three years her work at the food bank involves understanding how the local food system can improve the health of food insecure people.  She has a BA in Psychology and a MS in public health.
