Currently the Wine Director for the locally-owned Tap & Bottle/Westbound locations, Arielle DeSoucey is a WSET trained Certified Sommelier who has spent a cumulative six years living and working in France and the Czech Republic. During her time in the Czech Republic from 2018 2021, Arielle established her own private business endeavor, Civil Wines, which focused on wine education through various channels, including private and public wine tastings and events, and informative, research-based articles and blog posts. Her publications include an academic article ‘Bottle Revolution: The Emerging Importance of the Wine Industry in South Moravia,’ published in 2020 in the Council for European Studies, as well as a monthly column in a locally-owned Moravian magazine, KAM Brno. Arielle has been featured in multiple interviews with online publications and podcasts, including VinePair, Tucson Foodie, and Interpreting Wine. Now a full-time resident of Tucson, Arielle has dedicated herself to establishing a local wine community through education-based wine tastings and classes and is eager to share her international wine expertise with the Tucson community.
